That's a Wrap: ForceMetrics at IACP Tech 2026

What a week. The public safety community showed up to Fort Worth, and even the rain couldn't keep the excitement down at IACP Tech 2026. From the moment the doors opened at the Fort Worth Convention Center, our booth was buzzing with current customers stopping by to say hello, new agencies leaning in to see Velocity™ in action, and a partner announcement that kept the conversations flowing. It was the kind of week that reminds us why we do this work.

Kicking Things Off with a Big Announcement

We hit the ground running on day 1 with the announcement of our strategic partnership with Mark43. Together, we're helping public safety agencies turn growing volumes of operational data into clear, actionable insights: supporting faster decisions in the field, in dispatch, and across command and investigative workflows. By bringing ForceMetrics Velocity™ together with Mark43's cloud-native CAD and RMS platform, agencies can unlock the full value of their data without the friction of legacy infrastructure or single-vendor lock-in.

A Packed Panel on Turning Insight Into Action

One of the highlights of the week was watching our own Jacob Cramer, Ph.D. moderate the Executive Track panel, "From Problem to Impact: How Agencies Identify, Act, and Evaluate in Real Time." Jake was joined by an incredible group of leaders:

  • Chief Manny Morales, Miami PD
  • Commander Todd Brown, Castle Rock PD
  • Loren Atherley, Sr. Director of Performance Analytics & Research, Seattle PD

The room was packed, and for good reason. The conversation moved from the practical realities of frontline decision-making to how agencies are measuring impact and adjusting in real time.

“A consistent theme throughout our panel was that technology alone does not solve problems, the real work is helping agencies translate information into operational decisions, measurable action, and ultimately better outcomes for their communities,” said Cramer in reflection of his panel session.

Hearing these leaders unpack what's actually working (and what isn't) was a masterclass in modern policing.

Cigars, Cocktails, and Conversations to Remember

After day 1 sessions wrapped, ForceMetrics co-hosted the “Holy Smokes Happy Hour” with Verkada and Constant Technologies at Thompson's Bookstore. We knew it was going to be a fun night and the turnout did not disappoint. Agency leaders, partners, and peers packed the place for cocktails, cigars, and the kind of conversations that only happen when everyone steps away from the booth and just... talk. Big thanks to Verkada and Constant Technologies for being such great partners in pulling it off. It was a good ash time!

Tech Talk: Scaling Experience with Data & AI

On Day 2, our CTO and Co-founder Jason Truppi took the show floor stage for a 30-minute Tech Talk: "Scaling Experience: Turning New Officers Into Immediate Force Multipliers with Data & AI." This is a topic to keep on your radar, it's going to shape how agencies think about onboarding, retention, and operational readiness for years to come.

“A veteran's greatest advantage was never their rank. It was their context. The addresses they knew, the patterns they recognized, the details they remembered that nobody else did. Technology can't replicate twenty years of instinct, but it can make sure the knowledge that exists inside an agency's data is available to every person who needs it, regardless of when they were hired,” said Truppi.

He made the case that AI isn't replacing experience; it's accelerating it. If you missed his session, he wrote a blog on the topic and can be found here

Until Next Time

To the customers who carved out time to come see us, thank you. To the agencies we met for the first time,  we're already looking forward to the follow-up. And to the team that made the week run (you know who you are): you're the reason ForceMetrics shows up the way we do.

See you down the road.
