A request was submitted to a Real Time Crime Center for assistance in collecting intelligence on a female subject (the mother) who had reportedly taken her children without a valid custody agreement. The request indicated that the subject had left with the children in either her father’s vehicle or with a male associate identified by name.

Using ForceMetrics Velocity™, officers conducted a search on the mother and reviewed her known associates. Through this search, they were able to identify and obtain additional information related to the father. Further investigation led to the identification of a vehicle associated with him. Officers conducted a query on the vehicle’s license plate and confirmed that the vehicle was in the vicinity of the reported incident at the time it occurred.

The following day, the identified vehicle was located, and as a result, the children were safely recovered and returned to their family without incident.
